EQUIPMENT SELECTION & PROJECT INTERFACES

Blast Freezing Planned Around the Loaded Product

Blast freezing uses moving cold air to remove heat from products. Mechocool reviews the loaded arrangement and production cycle before coordinating a freezer concept. Product core requirements, handling time and available production hours should be considered together when defining the required output.

Describe the actual loading arrangement

Start With the Operating Requirement

Provide photographs or drawings of trays, trolleys, cartons or pallets as applicable. Identify the largest or most difficult product that the process must handle. A freezing requirement needs more detail than a room temperature and a batch weight.

Information to Share

  • Product dimensions, composition, packaging and entering condition
  • Batch arrangement and spaces available for air movement
  • Required final core condition and allowed freezing period
  • Loading, unloading, cleaning and defrost windows

Coordinate airflow and refrigeration

The equipment review considers the path through and around the product, evaporator placement and the refrigeration duty. Room layout should give operators a repeatable loading pattern. Fan operation, defrost and drainage need coordinated controls so that the proposed production schedule includes the whole operating cycle.

Set a practical validation basis

The proposal can include a loading concept, duty assumptions, equipment schedule and responsibility list. Before committing to output, agree the representative product, measurement positions and trial procedure. Supplier validation or a product trial may be required. Acceptance should relate to product results under the agreed loading conditions.
