Application Overview

Freezing projects require a clear product and process basis. Airflow, product loading, belt or trolley arrangement, dwell time, frost management, sanitation, and refrigeration capacity must work as one system.

IQF Freezing

Individual quick freezing systems reviewed around product size, hourly throughput, product temperature, and process flow.

Blast Freezing

High-air-velocity batch or continuous freezing for products requiring defined pull-down or core-temperature targets.

Plate Freezing

Contact freezing for suitable packaged or block products, coordinated with hydraulic, loading, and refrigeration interfaces.

Spiral Freezing

Continuous freezing systems for applications requiring longer retention time within a compact footprint.

Typical Project Requirements

Operating Conditions

  • Product type, size, packaging and composition
  • Hourly or daily throughput
  • Entering and target core temperature
  • Required freezing time and operating hours

Project Interfaces

  • Room/process layout and sanitation requirements
  • Ambient conditions, power supply and refrigerant constraints
  • Defrost strategy, standby expectations and maintenance capability
  • Scope boundaries for freezer, refrigeration system, controls and installation

Recommended System Architecture

Typical direction: Blast freezer, IQF, plate freezer, or spiral freezer integrated with a suitable refrigeration architecture and control strategy.

The freezer type is selected from the product and production requirement first. Refrigeration capacity, evaporator arrangement, airflow, defrost, controls, and heat rejection are then coordinated around the selected process.

Final configuration is confirmed only after the design basis, local conditions, equipment interfaces, applicable requirements, and supply scope are reviewed.
