EQUIPMENT SELECTION & PROJECT INTERFACES

Condensing Units Matched to the Working Conditions

A condensing unit must be selected for the conditions at which it will operate. Mechocool reviews the cooling duty, evaporator requirement and installation environment before coordinating a proposed unit. A replacement inquiry should include the existing equipment data and the operating problem that the change is intended to address.

Start With the Operating Requirement

If a cooling-load calculation is available, include its assumptions. If only room dimensions are known, additional operating information will be needed before a unit can be meaningfully compared or priced.

Information to Share

  • Application, cooling duty and required operating conditions
  • Refrigerant requirements and available electrical supply
  • Outdoor or machinery-space ambient conditions
  • Evaporator details, approximate pipe route and elevation changes

Check the connected system

The review considers the unit together with the evaporator, expansion arrangement and control interfaces. Installation location affects ventilation, sound exposure and maintenance access. Supplier application limits and installation instructions must inform the final pipework and equipment arrangement rather than being treated as an afterthought.

Request comparable quotation data

The equipment schedule should state the selected duty conditions, electrical characteristics, dimensions and included components. Identify whether the offer includes a receiver, controls and other accessories, and list field-supplied items separately. Agree required drawings and startup documentation before purchase, particularly when the unit will be connected to equipment supplied by another party.
