EQUIPMENT SELECTION & PROJECT INTERFACES
Controls and Auxiliaries With Defined Responsibilities
Controls connect the intended operating sequence with the equipment supplied. Mechocool helps clarify the required functions and coordinates interfaces between equipment suppliers and your local team. The starting point is a description of normal operation, operator actions and the information needed when a fault occurs.

Record the required functions
Start With the Operating Requirement
A list of devices is useful, but it does not replace an agreed sequence. Identify existing control equipment and confirm which supplier is responsible for the overall coordination. Remote access, if requested, requires a separately agreed arrangement.
Information to Share
- Temperature control, equipment enable signals and operating modes
- Defrost sequence, fan operation and associated interlocks
- Alarm destinations, operator acknowledgement and logging needs
- Electrical supply, field instruments and communication interfaces
Check the supporting components
Valves, receivers, filters, sensors and other auxiliaries must suit the selected refrigerant, operating conditions and system arrangement. The equipment review should distinguish factory-mounted items from components installed at site. Protective functions and their implementation require approval by the responsible design and installation parties.
Deliver information operators can use
The agreed document set can include a control narrative, input and output schedule, wiring interfaces and alarm list. Supplier instructions should accompany included components. Before handover, the parties should agree which sequences are demonstrated, how changes are recorded and who retains the final settings and operating documents.
