REFRIGERATION PROJECT GUIDES

Compare Refrigeration Quotations on the Same Basis

Before comparing prices, confirm that each proposal uses the same application, temperatures, load, ambient conditions and operating schedule. Ask each supplier to state the conditions behind its equipment selections.

Check equipment and service boundaries

Record the selected revision

Check the operating conditions first

A headline capacity does not by itself show whether the proposed package covers the required duty. The supporting data and assumptions are part of the comparison.

Compare the complete scope

List the major equipment, controls, accessories, documents and services included in each proposal. Mark exclusions and items to be supplied by the customer or local contractor.

Pay attention to connections between packages. A component can be included while its installation materials, power connection or control interface are outside the quoted scope.

Review the execution basis

Ask how technical changes will be reviewed and which documents must be approved before manufacturing or shipment. Check the stated conditions for delivery, inspection and any required site support.

The comparison should distinguish a preliminary budget estimate from a quotation based on confirmed technical information.

Make the decision record explicit

Record the selected revision, accepted assumptions, open items and owners. Confirm commercial details with the relevant responsible parties before the order is placed.

Mechocool can discuss the technical and supply basis of a proposed package so your team can identify the differences that matter to the project.
