EQUIPMENT SELECTION & PROJECT INTERFACES
Industrial Chillers With a Defined Fluid Duty
A chiller proposal needs a clear description of the fluid it must cool and the conditions it must maintain. Mechocool coordinates equipment selection from the process requirement, whether the project involves a new circuit or replacement equipment connected to an existing production line.

Supply the hydraulic information
Start With the Operating Requirement
Provide the process equipment supplier requirements where available. State which values have been measured and which remain estimates. For an existing installation, operating records and a simple circuit drawing can reveal constraints that a nameplate alone cannot show.
Information to Share
- Fluid type and concentration where applicable
- Required entering and leaving fluid conditions and flow
- Available pressure, operating schedule and load variation
- Ambient conditions, power supply and equipment location
Compare complete configurations
Air-cooled and water-cooled arrangements have different site interfaces. The review should identify pumps, tanks, heat exchangers and heat rejection equipment included in each offer. Fluid compatibility, minimum operating requirements and controls must be confirmed using the selected supplier documentation. Capacity should be reported at the intended fluid and ambient conditions.
Prepare for installation and handover
The equipment submittal can include selection data, utility requirements, dimensions and a connection schedule. Agree the responsibility for circuit cleaning, fluid preparation, electrical work and control signals. The startup record should relate measured fluid conditions and operating behavior to the approved duty basis.
