Application basis
Shell and tube condensers connect a refrigeration circuit to a water-side heat rejection arrangement. Mechocool coordinates selection around the required duty and the available water conditions. The actual materials, pressure ratings and configuration must be identified for the equipment being offered.
Information for selection
Provide both the refrigeration and water-side requirements. If seawater or another demanding water source is proposed, include available water analysis and the intended maintenance approach for supplier review.

- Water temperatures, flow and pressure information
- Water composition and required material compatibility
- Installation space and access for inspection or cleaning
Documentation and responsibility
Request the equipment drawing, connections and declared design conditions, together with applicable supplier pressure-equipment documents. Confirm whether a receiver or protective devices are included. Project-specific acceptance of materials, pressure ratings and local requirements belongs with the responsible qualified parties; broad references to standards do not replace identified documentation.
