Project Overview

Location: Malaysia
Application: Seafood blast freezing, pre-freezing, and frozen storage
Stated design requirement: 0.5 ton/hour freezing capacity at a room temperature of -35°C, with product core temperature reduced to -18°C and approximately 2,030 m³ of total storage volume.

Customer Requirement

The customer required an integrated low-temperature system covering blast freezing, a pre-freezing room, and frozen storage. The equipment scope needed to support the complete process from product freezing to storage under the confirmed operating conditions.

Our Solution

MechoCool coordinated the refrigeration system configuration and equipment selection around the stated freezing duty and storage volumes.

Main Equipment and System Configuration

  • Single-stage twin-screw refrigeration system
  • Evaporative condenser for heat rejection
  • Air coolers selected for the freezing and storage rooms
  • Liquid receiver and control system
  • Pre-freezing room: approximately 30 m³ at -20°C
  • Frozen storage room: approximately 2,000 m³ at -20°C

Engineering and Project Support

The support scope included requirement review, technical selection, equipment supply coordination, installation and piping guidance, electrical and control coordination, and commissioning support within the agreed project scope.

Customer Value

The coordinated approach provided one technical direction for the freezing and storage areas, with equipment interfaces and supplier responsibilities reviewed as part of the project. Final performance depends on approved design conditions, installation quality, commissioning, and the actual production load.
