Seafood Blast Freezer - Sri Lanka Project

Project Overview

Sri Lanka 20,000 m³ Seafood Cold Storage Project

Application: Large-scale seafood cold storage
Storage volume: Approximately 20,000 m³
Project priority: Stable low-temperature operation with practical capacity control and attention to operating efficiency.

Customer Requirement

The customer required a refrigeration system suitable for a large cold-storage load, with stable refrigerant circulation and flexible operation under changing storage demand. Energy consumption was an important selection consideration, but no final savings claim is presented without verified operating data.

Our Solution

MechoCool reviewed the stated operating conditions and coordinated a system direction using Hanbell two-stage inverter screw compressors in parallel operation with a 5 m³ refrigerant pump circulation system.

Main Equipment and Technical Approach

  • Hanbell two-stage inverter screw compressors
  • Parallel compressor arrangement for staged capacity control
  • Two-stage compression for low-temperature operating conditions
  • 5 m³ refrigerant pump circulation system for stable evaporator supply

Engineering and Project Support

The work focused on requirement review, equipment configuration, technical communication, and supplier coordination. Final compressor staging, control logic, refrigerant charge, and site commissioning parameters require confirmation against the approved design basis and local installation conditions.

Customer Value

The coordinated configuration gives the customer a defined technical direction for a large seafood cold-storage facility and supports capacity control across different operating loads. Any energy-saving percentage or annual cost reduction should be validated using site operating records before publication.
